JOB DESCRIPTION: |
We are looking for a detail-oriented Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our IT department for a summer internship program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside industry experts while contributing to the meaningful work of our organization.
This is a fulltime internship (40 hours per week) for a period of 9 weeks during the summer.
- Timing: The 2025 summer internship will begin Monday, June 9th and conclude on Friday, August 8th.
- Hours: Interns should be able to commit to NORC’s 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CDT business hours.
- Compensation: The hourly rate of pay is $22.
- Location: The 2025 Internship will take place virtually. You will be sent a NORC laptop.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 3rd at 5:00 p.m. CT for the 2025 Summer Internship program. RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Interns will work as part of a specialized IT team on tasks such as the following:
- Vulnerability scanning and security monitoring
- Building sandbox environments
- Assist with writing documentation
- Quality assurance testing
- Process automation
- Conducting data analytics such as data cleaning and harmonization
- Researching and exploring new technologies as directed
- Applying and developing your technical skills while honing collaboration and project management skills

REQUIRED SKILLS: |
- Must be a rising senior in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated proficiency through coursework in one or more of the following areas: artificial intelligence, application development, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, data science, infrastructure design, process automation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity, innovation, and strong analytical abilities
- Ability to contribute to a team or work individually
