What We Do |
NORC partners with government, corporate, and nonprofit clients around the world to conduct survey research that informs critical decisions facing society.
- NORC Field Data Collectors, internally known as field interviewers, play a significant role in collecting the data that drives our research.
- They conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather survey data for research on subjects including childcare, health care, employment, education, and economics.

The Ideal Candidate for Field Data Collector |

**This position requires an individual who is Spanish-language proficient at a conversational level.**
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English.
- Flexible, part-time work 20 – 25 hours a week.
- Our most successful field interviewers typically dedicate 4-6 hours a day to interviewing.
- Self-starter who can manage, organize, and commit to your own work schedule while meeting weekly requirements.
- Comfortable interacting with school staff and preschool aged children.
- Has prior field interviewing, childcare, sales, teaching, healthcare, or customer service experience.

Requirements For Employment: |
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
- Available to work Monday – Friday during business hours.
- Must be comfortable working with preschool age children.
- Must be willing to drive 50-100 miles round trip.
- Available to attend three days of virtual training in February.
- Must have working knowledge and ability to navigate a tablet; and document via paper assessments.
- All employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States (I9 documentation).

Salary And Benefits: |
This position is classified as intermittent. The pay rate for this position will be $20.75 per hour, with additional bilingual pay of $1.00 for each hour worked after certification is completed; base pay is based on experience and geographic location.
- NORC will contribute to an individually owned, fully vested retirement account for those who meet eligibility requirements.
- Intermittent staff are eligible to make pre-tax or post-tax contributions as part of NORC’s Supplemental Retirement Plan.

Other Important Details to Note: |
- The Pre - K On My Way (PKOMW) curriculum. As part of the evaluation, we will be conducting school readiness assessments with children aged 3 & 4 in preschool classrooms in the Denver Public School System.
- Field in-person data collection will begin in February 2025 and is anticipated to end May 2025. The field interviewer role is project-based work that ends based upon business needs.
- Field data collection is project-based work that ends once the research is complete.
- Because of the temporary nature of field work, these positions are great for students, teachers, retirees, and others who are looking for flexible, contracted work.
